CVB: Automated Presentation

Gateway supports the MID (Notification Import Document) and MED (Notification Export Document) handling through interfacing with Portbase. In Gateway, you can easily send electronic notifications to all the sea port terminals. Based on your wish, Gateway can also send all relevant information to Portbase after receiving the release message from the Customs. EMCS stands for Excise Movement and Control System. Transport and storage of excise goods within the EU are subject to strict regulations. For such goods, it is mandatory to declare an EMCS document with Customs. One of the significant advantages of using Gateway is the ability to generate an EMCS document directly from your existing data, saving time and preventing errors. Additionally, you can reuse the data from your EMCS declaration, for instance, for creating an export declaration. This data reuse contributes to time savings and error prevention.

Integrated with Client Import, the national system of the NVWA, Gateway streamlines the submission process for import phytosanitary inspection requests, known as PD Import or CHED-PP (in Dutch “GGB-PP”). Client Import is seamlessly integrated with TracesNT, directly communicating data to this European system, ensuring full compliance with all European requirements for importing plants and plant products. With Gateway, initiating a phytosanitary inspection request allows for effortless transformation into a DMS import declaration and vice versa. Gateway also streamlines the submission process of Common Health Entry Document (CHED, also known as GGB). It includes CHED-A for animals, CHED-P for products of animal origin, and CHED-D for non-animal origin feed and food. Integrated with VGC (Veterinary Border Control), a national system of the NVWA, Gateway ensures efficient communication, facilitating compliance with European regulations for importing animals and animal products. VGC is integrated with TracesNT, directly communicating data to this European system. With Gateway, you can easily convert a CHED document into a DMS import declaration and vice versa. With our AES (Automated Export System) software, we offer exporters an advanced solution to meet the requirements of the customs exit process. Gateway's AES software significantly simplifies the declaration process through automated functionalities and integration with DMS Export and EMCS. This enables exporters to fulfill AES obligations and seamlessly transition to new customs messages such as AAX and EXD declarations.

In Gateway, you can prepare Certificate of Origin (CvO), EUR1 certificate, and other origin documents and legalize the invoice. By leveraging the already available customs data in your customs declarations, all necessary documents can be generated with just a few clicks. Reusing customs data reduces manual work and minimizes errors. You can easily provide all required information to the Chamber of Commerce and quickly receive the export documents. You can also send directly IDEP declarations in Gateway to the Central Office of Statistics (CBS). Gateway features templates for your processes and can also make reuse of the existent data, really advantegous and time-saving. 

Gateway supports CID (Comfort Information). In Gateway, you can request the latest customs exchange rates, validate the EORI or the VAT numbers with the Customs, including the VAT-deferment based on Article 23. 

In Gateway, you can conduct DTV validation before sending your declarations to Customs. This validation can be performed on the declaration level and the whole manifest level, very efficient for you. Furthermore, Gateway can also pre-calculate the customs duties and other charges such as VAT, allowing you to control it first before sending it to the Customs. This function can be combined with the Customs Deposit Guard in Gateway.
